First combination that we demonstrate here with thai pads is for athletes that they have taught the basic techniques and strikes and they are used to strike hard on thai pads. We can say that an athlete that is training for almost a year on Thai Boxing or MMA can proceed to this combo.
The plan here is to give 2 strikes with hands and one with leg before we open the distance from the opponent. The frond hand is always strike a hook punch and the rear one straight punch. The leg is always finishing with a roundhouse kick. The leg must be the opposite from the last punch.
So we have both sides:
Left hook punch / right straight punch / left roundhouse kick
And
Right straight punch / left hook punch / right roundhouse kick
COMBO 2
Second combo is more complicate and it is for intermediate athletes of Thai or MMA.
We are starting with a kick and then 2 punches with the same way (frond hand hook, rear hand straight) and we finishing with one more kick, roundhouse again.
So we have:
Left RH kick / right straight punch / left hook / right RH kick
And
Right RH kick / left hook / right straight punch / left RH kick
REMARKS – THAI PADS
COMBO 1
When we finish with right straight punch and then we have to kick with the left leg, that is happens with 2 ways:
with step with the right foot and kick with left
changing our guard and kick
COMBO 2
When we start to kick with the right leg and is following left hook, the leg has to return fast to its back position. Otherwise we might loose the distance.
