No It doesn't! Aerobic is completely counterproductive in terms of building muscle, especially if the duration is long. If you want to gain muscle and become big and strong you need to lift weights and do some sort of resistance training. You also need to follow a program specialized for gaining mass. Generally in order to gain Hypertrophy you need to lift heavy, have high volume of training (lift sufficient poundage) and keep the rest intervals short. There are a lot of methods to achieve muscle growth but almost all of them follow these general rules. As you guessed though, the training program is only the first part of the equation. A solid nutrition plan is the other. You need to take in sufficient calories to allow your self to grow. You also need good sleep and sufficient rest. Do not forget that muscles are built during resting and not during training. So Lift heavy weights, have sufficient rest and eat like a man if you want to grow serious muscle.
